Recipes with Kashvi Organic Sharbati Wheat Daliya

1. Nutritious Daliya Khichdi

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Kashvi Organic Sharbati Wheat Daliya
  • 1/2 cup split moong dal (yellow lentils)
  • 1/4 cup chopped vegetables (carrots, beans, peas, etc.)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • 4 cups water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Dry roast the daliya in a pan until golden brown. Set aside.
  2. Wash the moong dal and daliya thoroughly.
  3. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
  4. Add chopped vegetables and sauté for 2 minutes.
  5. Mix in the roasted daliya and moong dal. Add turmeric powder and salt.
  6. Pour in 4 cups of water, close the lid, and cook for 3-4 whistles.
  7. Once the pressure releases, open the cooker, mix well, and serve hot with pickle or yogurt.

2. Simple Plain Daliya Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Kashvi Organic Sharbati Wheat Daliya
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup milk (optional for a creamier texture)
  • A pinch of salt or sugar (as per preference)

Instructions:

  1. Dry roast the daliya until aromatic.
  2. Add the daliya and water to a pan. Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally to avoid lumps.
